He has conducted research in mined land reclamation, site characterization/evaluation, and freshman engineering student success.

Prior to his current position Dale was an environmental consultant in Boise for 18 years, providing technical support to the minerals industry that included geologic field mapping, resource exploration, geologic modeling, mine planning, and operational support. Dale serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the Boise Section of SME and enjoys sharing information about geology, minerals and mining with kids of all ages.

Ryan M. Murray is the Vice President of Operations for Murray Energy Corporation. Murray Energy Corporation is the largest underground producer of coal in the world and operates 17 mines. Ryan has worked in underground and surface coal mines with many duties ranging from underground laborer to general manager. He earned a Masters in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a Bachelors of Science in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University.

Heather Lammers is a Project Engineer at Golder Associates with over 9 years of consulting experience in the mining industry, specializing in multi-disciplinary analyses and design. Her international project experience includes mine closure and reclamation design; heap leach, tailing, and waste rock facility design; mineral exploration; and cost estimation. She is also a Ph.D. student (mining engineering) at the Colorado School of Mines.

Kathryn Kosloski is a Foreman Trainee for Luck Stone, based in Richmond, Virginia. After graduation from the Virginia Tech Mining and Minerals Engineering Department in 2012, Kathryn began her career in the Aggregates Industry. She worked the first few years as a Mining Engineer and recently transferred into quarry operations. She is currently leading the development of new quarry in Leesburg, Va.

Matt Furniss is currently a full time MBA student at Penn State University and the Vice Chair of the SME Young Leaders Committee. Previously he was the Assistant Surface Operations Manager for Corsa Coal Corp in Somerset, PA. Matt holds BS and MS degrees in Mining Engineering from Virginia Tech and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
